Good ❤❤❤ from Indonesia
Great thank you¡¡¡
^_^
I was scrolling UA-cam for Patty Griffin videos and this came up in the righthand panel. Damn, made my night. Love Celia.
love it when that happens! thanks
Beautiful...
Heartbreakingly Beautiful! My heart fills with joy listening to your music... I miss my sweetheart and I will forever be grateful to have once had him in my life 😥 I will always believe that "Home is where the heart is" and for anyone who May not know, This is straight from the heart of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia Canada.
Seo snog!
she is my hero matur suksma
Ah...the sounds of my childhood...had been brought 700 miles south to Dorchester, Massachusetts no less! Cape Bretoners are everywhere! God bless the musicians of this world...all over this world.
Thank you! I first encountered Coig when they were in Bangor promoting Celtic Colours. They were very effective - been addicted to Cape Breton (and NL) ever since. Hope to get back soon - being exiled has been painful.
@@CobscookBayMusic By NL do you mean the Netherlands?
@@captainbossman1016 Labrador/Newfoundland
@@CobscookBayMusic okay, thanks for clarifying
That's great just as long as there is no body downstairs. Fiddle player not phased by camera . Awesome.
ain't that the truth! I used to live in an upstairs condo. put my neighbor through hell. ecstatic when I acquired a detached house. I worried about Rachel putting my eye out with her bow 8-)
Excellent !!!
Wow - Didnt know this was recorded - Thanks, Fred !
Anyone know the names of these tunes?
that's what i want to know too
Excelente vocalization!
Anyone know the set list? Great tunes!
Annie Mae[sic] Chisholm (it's a Brenda Stubbert tune actually titled Annie May Chisholm) Mr. Murray Memories Of Alex Dan MacIsaac Hanley’s Tweed The Last Mile Unknown The Landlord’s Walk She call's the set "March to the Landlord's Walk."
Thanks Fred!
Love it. Breaking all the classical rules of violin.
Who were the rules written by and when? Traditional fiddle playing was happening in parallel to classical music and has its own rules and style...no fiddler I know is consciously learning all the classical rules and breaking them.
Can also play w techniques learned from classical training lol
Rules are like pie crust...made to be broken.
Glad you like this, and thanks for the comments and information. Hope somebody can come up with the tune names. Made my reservations for Celtic Colours!
Some of these seem to align with the Stoney Lake Reels from Natalie MacMaster's Cape Breton Girl album.
It's really hard to play the bass, chords, pedaling, keep your own beat, and maintain a florid/beautiful melody all at once on the piano. Chopin demonstrated this 200 years ago with his waltzes, polonaises, and mazurkas, and Mac demonstrates it again. I've never seen a folk pianist rock the whole package like Mac!
Does anyone know the names of these tunes?
The last one is the Stoney Lake reel by Donnell Leahy. I don't know the rest of them though.
@@FirstLast-uj9ud The third one is the reel Archie Menzies
-Wesley Beaton (March composed by Kinnon Beaton) -Kathleen's Favourite (Jig, Dan Hughie MacEachern) -Winnifred Foley (Trad jig) -Archie Menzies (Reel, John Lowe) -Stoney Lake Reel (Donnell and Angus Leahy)
What a treat to hear! His solo album is one of my all-time favourites.
Great stuff. Who is the pianist?
Mac Morin
@@ender2006 Thanks!
The genius of Mac in full display. Thanks for the upload!
Wow so you can stop time.
Love it! :)
long time lurker, first time commenter. guess nothing was good enough to comment on... until now! this band makes great music. they're adorable in their North Pond Hermit video, too. how lucky we are that someone took the time to share HMJB's talent with the rest of us (:
Cool :)
That's not me. I do play with Greg from time to time though.
Very nice video of the Canadian SkyHawks parachute team :) Really love the shake of the camera!
Love the sound of his guitar and the music is wonderful.
I love libel I was born in machias
Nice song. Love Manuela's harmonies.
awesome folks, good cause, great folks
Cool!!
The first of many hoots! Thanks, Fred.
I LOVE this! I'll pass it on The Mollys. Well Done!
Great job -- videos just get better and better!
Very well done. I applaud everone's efforts.
austin-thomas you guys never cease to amaze me, what a wonderful gift you share with us all. Thanks for posting, and thanks for playing. Looking forward to next time.
I'm sorry I missed this. You don't hear a lot of Miles Davis at the gatherings. Mandolins replacing the horn section is a nice touch.
Nice camera work Fred! Noticed you have the newer version of the cam I have. GMTA! Sound came out pretty good too. Now I'm wishing I had put my cam to use, but it spent the entire weekend in the camera bag :(.
